Okay. I've got my multisite working. I can set up new sites. I have Domain Mapping working, I think. I just might have a problem at ISP end of the workflow.
I have a couple of existing Domain Names for word press sites in my account. I'm trying to migrate all my Word Press sites to a Word Press Multi Site. I have everything set up on my word press site including using the plug-in Multi Site domain mapping. Everything seems to be working fine except I don't know what settings to use in Domain Central to get the right domain name for the websites.
I've tried using subdomain redirecting and pointing to the URL. But I keep getting my main sites name rather than my sub-domain's name.
The main site is http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com. I have added a new site called Greg Pictures. It is at http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/glpics The domain I want to use for this set-up is greglynchpics. com, which I have used before and it is on my ISP's site. My ISP is Ipower.
At domain central on iPower, greglynchpics.com points to public_html/glpics. This didn't work properly, so I pointed it to http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/glpics. This worked by the header was brotherhoodofdoom. I was hoping to get greglynchpics.com across the top of the page.
Should I be using some other configuration to get this to work properly? Or is that not the way Domain Mapping works?
I also could be using CName, but I'm not really familiar with how that would be working.
Greg.
