Many requests in this forum for fixes for deprecated functions and warnings are often met with one of two standard responses:
- "Please download the development version instead"
- "You can fix this by defining x"
Both of these responses ignore that the same issues with this plugin are consistently being reported by different users. Fixing them in the plugin will both lower support requests, and lower the time taken by users to investigate and resolve the problems themselves.
I was wondering why the developers of this plugin do not see the need to push minor updates through to the live version of the plugin. If development is no longer active on this plugin, is there a mechanism that others can take over maintenance?
