We used the MU Domain Mapping Plugin to map our subdomain picon.services to our domain picon.pi4tec.com. We use polylang plugin to make our site available in German and English.
Once we enabled the domain mapping we were no longer to customize our permalinks. The English landing page becomes unreachable and wordpress seems to be caught in an endless loop between the domains. Except for the English landing page all other (English) pages work, however.
