Sudar on "[Plugin: WordPress MU Domain Mapping] Featured image url is not mapped"

I am using a WordPress multisite installation with two blogs. Each blog has a different domain and is mapped using the "WordPress MU domain mapping" plugin.

In the second blog, if I select a featured image for a post, then the url of that particular image is not properly mapped. It still points to blog2.domain.com instead of blog2.com. I am to replicate it in a fresh install as well.

Following are the list of steps to replicate it.

  1. Create a multisite with two blogs. The primary one will be domain.com and the second blog/site will be blog2.domain.com.
  2. Now use "WordPress mu domain mapping" plugin to map the second blog/site to blog2.com
  3. Now go to the admin console of the second blog and then create a new post with a featured image and publish it.
  4. If you view the post in the frontend, the image url of the featured image will be blog2.domain.com/wp-content/path/to/image and not domain.com/wp-content/path/to/image
  5. But, instead of choosing the image as featured image, if you directly insert it into the post content, then the url of the image is correct. It fails only for featured images.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
